Our Farm

January 9, 2004, we became the proud owners of 107 acres of central Texas farmland. We had been thinking about buying a piece of farmland for a while, and finally happened on the farm of our dreams. Actually it was a part of a strategic retirement plan (on Ray's part, not Susan's), but we were both excited about the possibilities. When we bought the farm, 98 acres were already being leased for farming, and the remaining acres showed great promise as a future homesite. Actually, there was a house...of sorts, an old barn, a storage shed, and, last but not least, an outhouse.
